What is a tree inventory?
A tree inventory is the collection of accurate information on the health and diversity of the trees within a defined geographic area. While focusing on the attributes of individual trees, it contains information such as:
- Quantity
- Species
- Condition
- Tree Size
Why conduct a tree inventory?
To determine if a community needs an action plan to provide resources, information, and recommendations to prioritize tree maintenance and future planting needs. This enables public works agencies to manage public trees proactively and effectively in the best interest of the community's future.
When will it occur?
May 4th — May 13th
