Borough Council may consider adopting a formal Complete Streets policy in 2023.
A Complete Streets policy is one that aims to make streets safe and accessible for all users, regardless of their mode of transportation. This includes pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and motorists.
One component of a Complete Streets policy is the formation of an official Complete Streets Committee. The Committee will comprise of seven members, including one council member, one planning commission representative and at least four others not holding elected or appointed positions.
If you or someone you know might be interested in serving on the Committee, please express interest and/or pass along this opportunity.
There's no deadline to apply, but we encourage interested individuals to apply soon.
If you or anyone you know has questions, the easiest way to get in touch is by email at contact-us@indianaboro.com.
Filled out interest forms can submitted to that email as well, or delivered in-person to 80 N 8th St, Indiana PA 15701.
