George Hood Resigning as Mayor of Indiana Borough

George Hood took the oath of office as Mayor on January 2, 1998 and has served as the Mayor of our community since. During the first Council meeting of this year, Mayor Hood announced that he is stepping down from his position and moving to White Township to live with his daughter.

Mayor Hood spent 87 years as a resident of Indiana Borough and is a true ambassador of the borough and our community. His presence at meetings and in the office will be greatly missed.

Thank you for everything you’ve done for Indiana Borough, Mayor Hood!
