Public Works will be continuing smoke testing of sewer mains and laterals Wednesday and Thursday (11/6 & 11/7) from 8AM to 2PM. As weather conditions must be dry, testing may be postponed if it is raining or the ground is sufficiently wet.

This round of testing will be done in the same area as last time, south of Locust Street between S. 7th & S. 5th. Potentially affected properties should have received a door hanger notice on their front door.

The smoke used is non-toxic and harmless to plants, animals and children. Residents with smoke in their homes are urged to notify the workers in the street conducting the tests, or to call the main office at (724) 465-6691.
