The National Weather Service’s Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Indiana County from 9:46am to midnight EST. A Flash Flood Watch means weather conditions outside may develop that lead to flash flooding.
Rainfall totals of 1.0 to 2.5 inches are expected with locally higher amounts possible.
Flash flooding of urban areas, small streams and roads may result.
Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. Residents are advised to monitor weather conditions outside and be prepared to act should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
To receive emergency weather notifications, residents are encouraged to sign up for SwiftReach, the Borough’s emergency alert system. Weather updates can also be found on the National Weather Service’s website.
