The mission of the Indiana Borough Parking Department to provide our community with the highest level of customer service and professionalism in dealing with wide ranging parking needs.

Office Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Beginning November 1st, parking from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the municipal-owned parking garage will be free of charge!
Free parking from 5:00 to 7:00 PM is only available Monday - Friday. Weekends will be normal rate.

Parking Permits
All parking permits are issued at the Indiana Borough Parking Office. Their office is located on the first floor of the Parking Garage at 650 Water Street, Indiana Pennsylvania, 15701.
Parking staff will answer any questions related to permit parking in Indiana Borough. Visit their office or call 724-465-4280 during office hours to speak with someone from the Parking Department.

Residential Permits:
​
Homeowners who wish to obtain a permit for street parking should first contact the Parking Office to see if permit parking is available on their street.
If available, a sticker will be given to the homeowner to signal to Parking Enforcement Officers that their vehicles are permitted to park on the street. There is no charge to homeowners when moving out of Indiana Borough. Additionally, stickers do not need to be returned.

Rental Permits:
​
There are two types of rental permits: long-term and short-term. The main determining factor whether a permit holder is long-term or short-term is whether or not the renter is a student. Both types of permits are issued annually and are valid from September 1st of a given year to August 31st of the following year. A different colored & dated permit sticker is issued to differentiate between years to allow Parking Enforcement Officers to monitor rental permit parking.

Contractor Permits:
​
In addition to the 2-day and 16-day permits currently available, a new annual contractor permit is now available through the Parking Department. Contractor permits allow parking in any permit parking areas in the Borough. This permit aims to make contractor work in our community more convenient and efficient.

The permit is issued from August to August for a flat fee of $100. Prices will be prorated for any contractors interested in obtaining a permit sooner than August. Those interested in obtaining a permit can contact the Parking Department in-person, via phone at 724-465-4280 or by emailing contact-us@indianaboro.com.
Meter Parking
Indiana Borough has 686 metered parking spaces available for your convenience. This does not include permit parking for residents throughout the Borough.

$0.05 cents = 5 Minutes
$0.10 cents = 10 minutes
$0.25 cents = 25 minutes

Meter Enforcement:
​
Parking Meters are enforced Monday through Saturday from 8:00AM to 7:00PM.
